Training for the professionals of the ANAR Helplines

At ANAR Foundation we have designed an ongoing training process for all the professionals who attend the ANAR Helplines — both our hired counsellors and volunteers, intern students and trainees.

Training for the ANAR Phone, Chat and Email

Over 28 years of experience, ANAR Foundation has developed specialised psychological, legal and social guidance protocols for every type of call.

The professionals working on the ANAR Helplines are trained in these protocols to provide appropriate care on each call, addressing the different issues that arise in each of them.

Theoretical and practical training

To guarantee top professionalism, it is essential that every professional in psychology and counselling goes through a rigorous theoretical and practical training process.

Theoretical training 30 hours

Learning the different guidance and crisis intervention protocols on the ANAR Phone with a multidisciplinary approach (psychological, social work and legal).

Practical co-listening training 45 hours

Listening to and handling their first requests for help, putting each guidance protocol into practice.

Guidance on the ANAR Phone 305 hours

The new counsellor psychologist continues phone support with ongoing accompaniment and supervision from the room leads.

Continuous training

ANAR Foundation has an ongoing training and refresher plan aimed at permanently updating the training of all professionals working in legal, social, psychological and guidance services. The programme is made up of case-study sessions, monographic seminars and training during team meetings.
